
About Jay
Always colorful, Jay Verchin is an alto, tenor, songwriter, and conductor from sunny Worcester, MA. They are a choral musician and singer whose repertoire includes art song, jazz, opera, and contemporary music. Currently, Jay is a board member, composer, and singer with the Tutti Music Collective. Jay has also appeared previously with Nightingale Vocal Ensemble, Magari Ensemble, and St. John’s Catholic Church professional Schola in Worcester.
Their most notable work was premiering Rachel Burckardt’s Mt. Auburn Requiem in October 2022, and as the Bo’sun in the 21st Century Premiere of Gena Branscombe’s Choral Drama, Pilgrims Of Destiny with the Clark University Choirs.
In addition to singing, Jay is a Jewish educator, and released their LP in 2021, Vessels, and their 5-track EP in 2025, Sunday Rush Hour.
